URBAN LIFE RECAP :)

uni is getting busier now especially with exams and assignments due dates coming up. they are like the most talked about topic recently.. but oh well .. we're students.. what to do :p oh oh !! jazz night and planet uni photos has been uploaded!! but i havent had the time to put them up in this blog yet.. so be patient ya?! as i said previously .. planetuni camp's.. my goodness ! now is to apply the things i've learnt into practice!! :D and oh oh!!

i went to the mothers day run on sunday after meeting up with my plc babies and staying over at mandy's place on saturday!! i miss them SO SO MUCH!!! >.< reeeeaaaallllllyyyy miss the good old times!! but surely .. we'll meet again yea?! :D i cant wait actually!!! :P pau got her liscence!!! CONGRATS!!!! cant wait for it to be my turn!! muahhahahahahhaha =D met karen at the run on sunday! it was so good catching up and thank God she accompanied me through the 4km :P well we walked all the way but we were having such a great time catching up!!! seriously, havent .. NOT EVEN ONCE i've met her in uni when we both go to the same uni!! and have relatively close classes!! ooh weelll...

anywayz ..i got this morning off :) :) YAY!!! so good. get to sleep in!! hahaha :P

but what i wanna say is tat yesterday i went to urban life. it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mei ying and jon shared :) mei's msg spoke to me very very much personally! and it really hit me on my face!! especially when DNA encounter is coming to an end! i was really excited to go to this "graduation" thingy .. i'm graduating!! hahaha no lar.. just finishing the first chapter . more is to come!! :D i heard from those who has done it before saying tht encounter is REALLY good.. like God is really there and you will really ENCOUNTER him. so .. i was indeed very stirred and really wanna meet God and get prophesised over by the pastors! i'm even fasting dinner for it!! hoping to hear a word from the pastors. then mei ying's message struck me!! we have the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of truth with us and He lives in us. Why wait for others to speak about us and rely on their words when the bible has already told us who we are in Christ?! i was in astonishment!! my goodies!! SO TRUE!! wel .tat was my personal hit.

My God knows and hears my needs.

2. Matt 6 : 33 Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.
My God will provide. He will give and fulfill your needs according to His time. Just like a kid with razors. When he was young, after his dad finished shaving, the razor is placed in a place unreachable to the lil fella. the father knows that one day, when he is old enough, dad is gonna give him the razor. for now, he'll prolly cut himself with it. so yea. God will GIVE it to you generously when He thinks it's time.

3. Matt 6 : 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow worry about itself.
My God knows the future. He is in control! Just leave the future in His hands and seize the day!

Dear God, This morning I want to pray for all the students who are taking, or soon will take, exams in school. This includes junior high, high school, college, uni and postgraduate students; teenagers, young adults, middle-age and senior adults--whatever their age. Please reward their efforts, help them to properly prepare and to retain what they have studied and what they have gleaned in class, clear their minds of distractions and help them remain focused on their task at hand. I pray that You will give them peace, wisdom, and knowledge. I pray that they will put this knowledge to good use in their lives and in the lives of those whom they will influence and touch during life's journey. I pray that You will give them direction for the future. I pray that You will be honored in all they think, say, and do. Thank You for Your help and guidance during this time. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

and i HATE how i am so easily distracted when it comes to study.. or when i'm supposed to get out of bed.. i.. i .. simply cant pull myself to it >.< IT'S SO BAD!! grrrrrr C'mmon!! really have to start shifting my bad habits!!!

i'm loving so many other aspects of life :D

Ability Versus Availability



His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor His delight in the legs of a man; the Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love. - Psalm 147:10-11

Do you ever feel so skilled in what you do that you require little help from others? Perhaps you may feel that you are more skilled than any other in your field. Does God need your skills and abilities in order to accomplish His purposes on this earth? The answer is NO.

One thing God does not need is our skills and abilities. However, He does give us the privilege to exercise our gifts and abilities for His service. That service may be as a computer technician, a secretary, an ironworker, or even a lawyer. God calls each of us to our vocations to work unto Him. To believe that He needs our skills to accomplish His mission on earth would be to lower our understanding of an all-encompassing and all-powerful God. The psalmist tells us that His pleasure is not in our strength and ability, but His pleasure is in the attitude of the heart. It is what we find in the heart that helps determine whether ability is translated into availability. You see God is looking to and fro throughout the earth for a man or woman who is fully committed to Him. A man or woman who is committed to fearing the Lord and placing his hope in His unfailing love is the person God seeks to support. "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him" (2 Chron. 16:9a). When our agenda becomes His agenda, we can expect God to fully support all that we do.

If we want to see our skills and abilities multiplied a hundredfold, then we must make them completely available to His service. Where are the opportunities in which God is calling you to be available to Him? Next time someone asks you to be involved in some activity, before you say yea or nay, make sure you check in with the Master of our decisions to ensure that your gifts and talents are being used, as He desires.

CRAP!!! my phone cracked from the being mistreated by ... *guilty* me
being left alone in the luggage for almost the whole day, when i turned it on to realise that it has a massive crack right in the middle of it and i could see nothing is rather sad!!! now .. thank God my previous brick phone is occasionally working if i dont press or go anywhere near it's battery.. but it's so crappy!! cos have to really REALLY be gentle and handle it with care!

Perhaps it's time to get a new phone!! :P hee :) i want God to provide :)

just came back from PLANETUNI CAMP!!!!

WOW!! it's amazing how God never fails to move and this camp .. i am indeed marked!!

prior to camp, i was having diarrhea and was on the verge of puking while i was having my tummy upset.. though i've had diarrhea TONNES of times before .. but seriously.. this one was one of the worst! having diarrhea and feel like puking at the same time got my thinking of how i need to do both.. so .. it was really bad as u can imagine! those who knew me well enough would be so used to me having to rush for toilet after food would find this news to no surprise .. but this time was really bad lehh.. i was so scared that i cant go to camp mannn!! cos i was REALLY ERALLY excited about it and really wanna meet God there .. so in the midst of all the ermm uncertainty-on-how-to-handle-puke-and-poo and also the pain and disgust.. i prayed a small but desperate prayer ..

i told God, "God, i dont wanna go through all these, having to puke and poo. it's so disgusting. but IN THE NAME OF JESUS, i pray that You take away all the discomfort Lord. .."

i havent even managed to finsh the prayer and it's just like so miraculously, i am healed. as in the pain and grossness just went away!! i wiped my bum .. and though felt my tummy was exhausted.. but yea .. managed to go to uni and had a normal-like other-day. .. PRAISE GOD!! He's my healer!

and on friday!! went to camp at peguin@philip island completely healed and charged!!!


wanna write more about camp and stuff but i'll wait till i upload the photos!

but yea.

this camp is indeed tremendously different from the others. and even the one last year. it's so amazing to experience how God moves. Personally, i am a lil daunted by the sense of insecurity and feeling that i'm new and inexperienced. i am not good enough. but after this camp, God told me that He will show and lead me to mountains and He knows everything. all i need to do is to focus on Him. Looking forward on Him! It;s also so amazing how He is using uni students to speak and really speak into my heart. they stand alone more powerful cos we can always relate and fully accept the fact that they are going through perhaps the same situation as us! or perhaps even more!! so yea .. i was so blessed to hear from them!
this camp has also indeed drew a clearer picture of God's plan for me. nursing. planetkids.
on saturday night was .. wow! amazing! i experienced God's presence in a newer, higher and different level.

so .. what now?

now,
i make a choice.
a decision.

to throw all my gifts down at the cross and pick them up.
to be a passionate child of His,
to be used and to radiate Jesus.

He is so real. and the greatest thing was that, He is always around you. All you need to do is open the door and ask Him to show you how real and awesome HE can be.

Today's Prayer
April 18, 2007

Dear Father in Heaven, Please forgive us of our sins, of our complacency, of our failure to do something about terrible wrongs that go on around us. Please help us to know what to do and say, as well as when to be still and wait for You to act. God, my heart breaks for the precious children around this world who live in the shadow of abuse. This happens all over the world, in rich and poor communities and everywhere inbetween. I pray for a supernatural intervention on their behalf. PLEASE rescue them from the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual pain and anguish they have experienced and many continue to experience. Remove this evil from them. Take them to a place of safety, comfort, and true love. Provide for their every need. Heal their wounds, dear loving Father - their wounded souls, minds, and bodies. Please repair their spirits that may be broken and restore unto them a new hope and a new life. I pray for those who bring this harm upon these children. Oh, how Your words speaks of their demise. I pray that You will intervene, soften their hard hearts, open their eyes to their spiritual condition and their wretchedness, show them their need for You. I pray that the Holy Spirit will convict their consciences and bring them down so low that they are undone, that they have nowhere else to look but up to You. I pray that they will be saved from their sins and given new hearts and new lives. May they reach out and do all they can to stop others from the wrongs they have committed and save other children from becoming victims of abuse. Father, help us as Your children to know what we can do to help these children. I pray that You will love them through us and work through us to accomplish Your will. In my blessed Savior's name I pray, amen.

WET PANTS

Come with me to a third grade classroom.....
There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.

The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat."

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered. As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap. The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie. She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!" Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Susie whispers back, "I wet my pants once too."

May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good. Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car. Each and everyone one of us are going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can.

Keep the faith.

My instructions were to pick four (4) people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you. Please share this with at least four (4) people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me.

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another.

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their going out and their comings. Amen.

I'm so sorry for the late updates and stuff .. now tat i've gotten internet and currently in the midst of easter break .. so yea .. i was reminded that i actually have a blog to update!

just a very berry brief one to fill the gap of after moving in till now..

been busy with assignment prior to holz
had a lil rollercoaster ride
went to moomba
beasaman's open house
played very addictive and funny board games
cleaned the toilet for teh first time in my entire life!!!!!!
cooked
cleaned up
groceries shopping
met lots of people, from uni, the field and even when i was crossing the road! how cool
went to first urban life :) and bible studies
fixed up my shelf


but the highlight was tat

WENT TO EASTER CAMP!!!!!!
it was just so amazing to be reminded of God's love :) and met so many people!!! most importantly, i could experience the warmth from the ppl from OCF.. afterall, we're all God's children and brothers and sisters in Christ. i'm just in awe despite the tiredness of my physical body from the 24++ hours without sleep i'm so pumped and excited for wat God is going to do :) .. it is my prayer that everyone can come to experience His love and understand that He will never forsake us.

for the Captain Faith Planets from camp,
you guys are awesome!! so fun-packed, always bubbly, never fail to bring a smile throughout camp. know tat you are greatly missed and i really cant wait to meet up with u guys again!!!!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice. On Madams tombstone (of Whelan's and Madam) she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice...loved it both times!



2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)



3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!



4. Enjoy the simple things.



5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.



6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.



7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.



8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.



9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

SEARCHING .....

i'm sure that everyone has been on the net and trying to hit the search button.. then wat happens next? .. the timer thing comes out and u're put into the waiting mode. as though u're com just froze... at times when u're desperate, it can be pretty annoying.

guess wat?

currently.. i'm in that mode. but the thing is .. my search field is empty. or perhaps .. my name was entered in.

i ALWAYS thank God for placing the most amazing people who love me for who i am in my life. seriously .. though most of them duno Him.. but i can just see the love they have for me .. beats everything else.. and i just cant help but secretly have tears rolled down my eyes.

why? i kept asking. but guess everything has a purpose behind it.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

i cant see it yet. but i'll try to persevere.

but right now.. this very moment.. i'm

currently lost.

currently desperate for directions.

currently trying to figure out who i am.
